5 Social Media Strategies That Work
The Internet is full of a vast assortment of social media strategies which promise you wonders and miracles. However, the truth is that many of these don’t do much, and rarely change anything for your recruitment efforts.
That is why we have done our best to find for you five strategies that work and will do what they say they do.
In the age of the Internet where almost all kind of information is available somewhere, reputations honestly matter. So, if you want to reach the talented individuals you wish to hire, you must improve your organisation’s image.
People today want an emotional connection, and they want to work for the right company. You have to accurately present your company’s values and your mission if you want them to work for you.
To achieve this, try to put yourself in the shoes of the people you’re trying to reach. Figure out what they want to hear and incorporate that into your message. However, you still have to remain strong and act like an authority in the field.
When it comes to posting ads or recruitment calls, or any other type of posts for that matter, the key is consistency and quality. Your posts need to be meaningful and engage people, but they also need to be frequent because the social media world never rests.
However, we are taking this step even further. You can’t just post; you have to post at the right time. Use post scheduling apps and get them to post on peak usage time for the platform you’re using. For example, the best time to post on Facebook is between 12 and 3 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
You have to make sure to adjust your posts to be platform friendly because different posts work on different platforms. You can’t merely repost something on Instagram that you have previously put on Facebook, you have to alter it to suit the Facebook environment.
You can still deliver the same message, but you have to make it specific for the platform at hand. It will also be good to use the current strengths of each platform (use the stories feature on Instagram, videos on Facebook, etc.)
Linkedin is the top platform to use in recruiting as that’s where all the talent is and it’s also optimised for recruiting purposes.
Your company needs to have a complete and well-made page there, but you also have to post frequently, use Linkedin ads and follow the current trends.
The rules are changing, and the talent among the Millennials and Gen Z’ers don’t want to be strictly serious and professional all the time. You need to cater to their needs a bit and lighten everything up a bit.
Your recruiting efforts don’t have to be as serious if you’re targeting these generations. They definitely shouldn’t be serious if you’re using Instagram in your campaign.
